White Crest Beach is the preferred beach in Wellfleet for surfing, which is why it's sometimes referred to as Surfer's Beach. Of course it's also great for surf-sailing, boogie boarding, and swimming. You can rent or buy a surfboard or boogie board at Jack's on Route 6 in Wellfleet.
There's parking on both sides of Ocean Drive. The beach also has restrooms and a concession stand.
Like LeCount Hollow Beach, White Crest can only be accessed by going down a fairly steep, sandy incline, so it may not be the best place for elderly group members. Newcomb Hollow and Cahoon Hollow beaches have easier access, and Marconi Beach has stairs.
