Duck Pond

Duck pond is a small, beautiful, and pristine kettle pond with great swimming. It requires a 10 minute walk from the parking lot to the beach. In recent years the water level has risen, leaving only a tiny sandy beach area. There's room for a few groups to sit by the water, but don't count on finding a space in the sun. Advanced and intermediate swimmers can comfortably swim all the way across and back. Duck Pond is a protected area, so the water is usually very calm. There are no facilities except a portable toilet in the parking area. Parking only accommodates about 15 cars, so get there early in the day.
