Gull Pond

Gull Pond is the only Wellfleet pond with boat rentals. Jack's offers canoes, kayaks, sunfish sailboats, and pedalboats. Gull Pond is Wellfleet's biggest pond. It connects via "the Sluice" to the much smaller Higgins Pond, and Higgins connects to even smaller Williams Pond. The sandy beach is good if you like shade because there isn't a lot of sun here. Gull Pond has a wooden dock and basic bathroom facilities. If you rent a kayak, go to the Sluice on your left, then get out and muddle through the very cool sluiceway into Higgins Pond. Also, see if you can find the secret passage into Williams Pond.
